Rahana is a Bay Area–born, Los Angeles–based soul and alternative R&B artist, singer, songwriter, and engineer who plays bass, bringing a deep sense of groove to her intimate vocals, jazz-influenced harmony, and emotionally rich songwriting. Her music explores embodiment, intimacy, and personal transformation, creating immersive soundscapes rooted in warmth and emotional honesty.

Rahana’s background in music is shaped by both formal training and hands-on experience. She studied audio engineering at Women’s Audio Mission in Oakland and further developed her skills at 1500 Sound Academy, later earning a full-ride scholarship to Musicians Institute’s Artist Producer Entrepreneur program. Her work as a vocalist and creator extends beyond her own releases, with vocal samples featured in the Grammy Museum. In addition to her musical training, she holds a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish. She enjoys crafting soundscapes across genres and tailoring music to support story, mood, and visual narrative. Together, these experiences inform a practice that is both technically grounded and deeply intentional, allowing her to create music that resonates on both a sonic and human level.
